Meyer Sound creates technical solutions team

WORLD: Meyer Sound has added depth to its global technical solutions and support programme with the creation of a technical solutions team. The news sees a number of new hires and promotions within the manufacturer.
The first promotion has seen John Monitto named as the company’s director of technical solutions. The newly created position will see the 18-year Meyer Sound veteran head the manufacturer’s business development team, a group of managers that partners with consultants and integrators to offer project support from initial design through final commissioning.
‘Over the years, John Monitto has continually demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical expertise,’ said John McMahon, vice president of solutions and strategy. ‘With Meyer Sound branching into new, exciting verticals, we’re confident that John will maintain the continued success of new projects and drive the industry-leading customer support that Meyer Sound is known for worldwide.’
A second senior appointment in the team sees Mac Johnson promoted from Constellation programme manager to manager of technical support. In this position, Mr Johnson will lead the global technical support team.
In an addition to the company, Brian Chow has joined Meyer Sound’s Hong Kong-based Asia-Pacific technical support team. Mr Chow joins from Audio Dynamic, the manufacturer's Hong Kong dealer.
Away from technical support, the manufacturer has made a number of other appointments. Following Mr Johnson’s promotion, Pierre Germain has been promoted to Constellation design manager, assuming leadership of the growing Constellation design team. Finally, Tom Cavnar has been promoted to senior digital products support specialist, while Rob Mele will take on a new role as senior digital products specialist.
