NAMM outlines Summer TEC Tracks programme

WORLD: Taking place from 23-25 June 2016, this year’s Summer NAMM Show will feature three days of ‘high-end’ training for the professional recording sector. Forming the TEC Tracks programme, the training will include a full series of seminars, expert engineering seminars, mastering secrets from the AES, recording advice and a glimpse into the future of audio.
‘The sound and recording professional has always had a home at Summer NAMM, but their world is changing incredibly fast, so is our approach to helping our members improve their knowledge and ultimately build their business,’ commented NAMM president and CEO, Joe Lamond. ‘TEC Tracks is this summer’s best opportunity to learn from some of the most creative minds out there, all while soaking up the unique and productive atmosphere of Summer NAMM.’
The programme will commence with an opening keynote panel on 23rd June titled Studio Engineering: Riding The Changes, which will feature notable engineers such as John Kurzweg, Reid Shippen, Ryan Hewitt and Jason Lehning. The panel will explore how the recoding industry has changed and how engineers can capitalise. Later in the afternoon, Grammy-winner Glenn Meadows will moderate an AES discussion of the latest tools and techniques in mastering.
On 24th June, Nashville-based music legend Tony Brown will appear alongside Steve Marcantonio and Chuck Ainley, offering real stories of recording in Music City. Finally, on the last day, A3E will moderate a full-day programme of seminars and panels examining the future of audio in conjunction with the show’s Music Industry Day, a day that welcomes all music and pro audio pros to attend.
