Prism Sound sponsors B-Side Remix Contest

WORLD: B-Side Project, a global remix contest, has begun its registration for 2016. For second consecutive year, Prism Sound sponsors B-Side Project, a global remix contest. Registration for the competition is now open and the eventual winner will be announced at an event taking place at Metropolis Studios on 1st December 2016, where over £15,000 in prizes will be given, and it will also be live streamed.

Musicians and composers can enter their original tracks here before registration closes on the 13th September. After this date, artists are then paired with electronic music producers from around the world to remix the submitted tracks before the 30th October deadline.

The winner of the overall best remix will receive a variety of prizes. These include a Prism Sound Lyra Pro Audio interface, a pair of Amphion One15 studio monitors, GIK Acoustics Studio Package One acoustic panels, Audio Technica mic and headphones, a Seaboard Rise from Roli, ear protection from ACS as well as IK Multimedia software. Individual awards can also be won, and chances to gain a publishing contract and record releases are also available.

Additionally, the winning producer will be invited to view their track being mastered at the Metropolis Studio in London. Each of the remix tracks in the top 10 will also be mastered at the studio and will be featured on a digitally released album of B-Side Recordings.

This year’s sponsors include Prism Sound, Amphion, Metropolis and PRS. Hugh Hardie, the winner of the 2014 event, re-joins the judging panel for this year.
