QSC’s PAT Quilter receives 2016 Beryllium Lifetime Achievement Award

WORLD: QSC founder Pat Quilter has been awarded the 2016 Beryllium Lifetime Achievement Award from industry trade organisation, ALMA International. Given in recognition of ‘significant and sustained contributions to the loudspeaker industry over the lifetime of a career’, the award was presented to Mr Quilter as part of ALMA’s recent Driver Awards ceremony taking place during the ALMA International Symposium & Expo (AISE) in Las Vegas.

‘I’m extremely honoured to be recognised by ALMA International and humbled to receive the Beryllium Lifetime Achievement Award,’ enthused Mr Quilter. ‘In my years at QSC and at Quilter Labs, I have had one main focus – developing products that enrich the lives of our customers. I’m gratified to see that the ALMA members share this passion for improving audio, and so this award is especially meaningful. I’m also pleased to note that I made some very interesting professional contacts while attending the convention, which I hope to work into future product developments in the years ahead. So as we like to say in the music business, “please stay tuned”.’

Mr Quilter, along with partners Barry Andrews and John Andrews, formed Quilter Sound Company in 1968 and began building power amplifiers and guitar amplifiers for local musicians and artists. Now know as QSC, the company has grown to encompass over 400 skilled professionals and has offices worldwide. In 2011, Mr Quilter founded Quilter Labs, where he designs and manufactures premiere guitar and musical instrument amplifiers for some of the leading artists and performers in the music industry.

‘We are thrilled to see Pat Quilter receive this Lifetime Achievement Award from ALMA International,’ offered QSC CEO, Joe Pham. ‘Pat is a true innovator and continues to inspire all of us at QSC.’
