Sony partners with Bosch for video security

WORLD: Bosch Security Systems has announced a partnership with Sony Corporation that will see the two companies pool their respective skillsets to work on secure video distribution. The agreement will result in products that combine Sony’s image technology with Bosch's video analytics and bitrate management functionality. Having originally announced the partnership plans in November 2016, the deal has been officially approved by the antitrust authorities and sees associates from Sony join a new, dedicated sales and marketing team at Bosch.
‘We are moving forward with this partnership which will feature jointly developed products that fully leverage our industry-leading expertise in video image quality and performance,’ said Toru Katsumoto, deputy president of imaging products and solutions sector, president of professional products group, Sony Corporation. ‘We are delighted that Sony’s video security customers are now being supported by Bosch Security Systems.’
