WORLD: The Sennheiser Group has reported a record turnover in its annual results published for the 2015 fiscal year with an increase of 7.5 per cent on the previous year up to €682.2 million. The APAC and Americas regions experienced strong growth for the manufacturer, while the EMEA remained its strongest area.
‘Having achieved record turnover once more, we continue to drive the growth trend seen over the past few years,’ enthused Sennheiser co-CEO, Daniel Sennheiser. ‘It demonstrates that our strategy of long-term and sustainable growth is successful in all regions.’
With a €30.3 million profit before taxes declared for the fiscal year, the company’s growth in the Americas and APAC regions was driven by its tapping into new markets, including Korea and Latin America, as well as continuing to focus on its existing market places. Sennheiser also experienced a series of new product launches and developments during the year, such as the addition of new digital system to the professional systems division’s portfolio of wireless microphones.
The company enjoyed a 4 per cent increase in staff throughout the year and invested an extra 8.5 per cent in research and development, amounting to €46.9 million. ‘This is precisely what makes us strong as a family-run business,’ explained co-CEO Dr Andreas Sennheiser. ‘We do not have to focus on attaining short-term financial goals, but can consistently concentrate on perfecting the customer’s experience – with the clear vision to shape the future of audio.’
Following these results, Sennheiser is already anticipating a successful 2016. ‘We will continue on this path during the course of the year and fulfil our commitment to shape the future of the audio industry,’ concluded Andreas Sennheiser. ‘We got off to a good start to the year and have already presented our customers with some exciting new launches.’
