Tim Carroll named Focusrite CEO

WORLD: The Focusrite Group has named Tim Carroll as the new group chief executive office, taking over from Dave Froker who will retire at the end of December. He joins Focusrite having previously served as vice president for audio products at Avid Technology, and reportedly possesses extensive management and sales experience, as well as a familiarity with many of the company’s existing customers. He will relocate to the UK to be based at the manufacturer’s High Wycombe headquarters. In his new role, he will be tasked with taking the company ‘through its next era of innovation and growth’.

‘I have known Tim for many years, and my colleagues and I are delighted to welcome him to Focusrite,’ commented executive chairman Phil Dudderidge. ‘Tim comes to us with 18 years’ audio industry experience, and is a widely-respected figure in the music technology business. His mix of industry knowledge and senior management and sales experience made him the outstanding candidate, and we are so pleased he has agreed to join our company.
