Wil Stam appointed managing director of ASL

WORLD: Following its acquisition by Riedel Communications during the second half of 2016, ASL Intercom has appointed Wil Stam as its new managing director. Ms Stam will lead the team at the intercom and party line solutions manufacturer and is tasked with building the brand across the global A/V market and strengthening market share.

Her career beginning as an audio engineer for theatre production in the Netherlands, Ms Stam would go on to serve as head of the audiovisual department at The Muziektheater in Amsterdam (now The Dutch National Opera and Ballet). Travelling the world, she has since worked as project manager for Klotz Digital in Asia and Australia, held multiple executive roles across sales and operations management with Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup Australia and led the start-up and incorporation of Stagetec's Australian office, successfully establishing an international partner business in Asia and Australia.

‘It's an honour to lead ASL's outstanding team of professionals as we continue expanding our leadership in the professional A/V market,’ enthused Ms Stam. ‘ASL has a tremendous reputation for its high-quality, European-built products and first-rate service and support. And now, as part of Riedel Communications, we have access to a broad array of R&D and marketing resources to help drive new developments and reach more clients.’

‘With Wil Stam, we have an experienced executive with extensive knowledge of international sales and operations,’ explained Jacqueline Voss, manager of corporate development at Riedel Communications. ‘This knowledge, combined with her lifetime of audio experience and achievements, makes her the ideal leader to take ASL forward.’
