ABS and ExperienceChurch.tv to present AVL Expo for worship community

WORLD: Professional video and audio systems integration firm Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS), in collaboration with ExperienceChurch.tv will present the Audio, Video, Lighting Conference and Expo (AVL Expo) on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at the Experience Church in Puyallup in Washington.

Designed for the worship community, the free, one-day event will include a full conference programme that includes advanced sessions for returning attendees. Plus, the exhibit hall will feature several new exhibitors, including Sony, De Sisti Lighting, Tightrope Media Systems, QSC and Williams Sound.

The expo opens at 9am, with a general session beginning at 10am hosted by Dennis Cummins, Pastor at Experience Church.tv and well known advocate for A/V technology in worship facilities. ‘Every session will be unique this year, and we have some very practical, hands-on instruction for audio applications,’ he said.

Meanwhile Mark Siegel, president of ABS, will lead the ‘live production’ breakout session at 1pm. ‘We have been working with Experience Church.tv since 2009 to produce AVL Expo, and the show continues to be an important resource for church pastors and their A/V crews in the Northwest,’ he said. ‘It’s not enough to invest in AV technology – church personnel also need to invest in training to create compelling content. My session will help our attendees learn how to mix a live show for broadcast on TV or the web.’

Other conference sessions will include audio production sessions from Sennheiser and Roland, as well as an ‘important things to know about in-ear-monitoring’ session by myMix. Plus, JVC Professional Products Company will lead a session on cameras, Sony will address production switchers, and Atomos will highlight capture, playback, and storage. Cloud-based resources for file sharing and storage, as well as lighting, will also be addressed. The programme will end with a 4pm Q&A general session. 

Registration is free for the first two people registered from each church. Additional attendees will be permitted based on availability, but space is limited.
