Acousticon installs Malaysian mosque

MALAYSIA: Acousticon Sdn Bhd has installed a new sound system at Al-Ehsan Mosque Kampung Tumbuk Darat, located about 50km from Kuala Lumpur. The system is operated through Biamp’s RED-1 navigation touch screen panel for selecting zone, input gain control, system volume and power management.

The brains of the system is a Biamp Nexia CS digital mixer and processor. This takes feeds from all the various sources, processes them and distributes the output to the various zones. Inputs for the system include an AKG C417PP lapel mic, an AKG P5S handheld mic, an AKG CGN series gooseneck mic and a CD player.

For the 500 capacity main prayer hall, two Crown LPS series amplifier power four TOA SR-H series slim line array speaker. In addition, 14 TOA F-2352SC ceiling speakers have been installed in the corridor to extend the praying area. Added to this four TH-652/TU-652M horn speakers have been mounted on a minaret for the call to prayer.
