Darwish Technology wins Islamic university contract

QATAR: Darwish Technology has won the contract to supply the A/V equipment to The Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies (QFIS) in  the Education City, Al-Gharaffa, Doha.

The planned state-of-the-art multidiscipline building will feature unique structures and when completed it will be one of the largest Islamic study universities in the world. In the faculty of Islamic studies, 78 rooms are going to be equipped with an A/V control system supplied by the Doha-based company.

The site will cover four floors of the new building and on top of the A/V control system, 13 rooms will also feature video conferencing.

The project in the faculty includes equipment for a language lab, gallery/exhibition space, undergraduate and graduate classrooms, small and large seminar rooms for undergraduates and graduates. Added to this are facilities for an auditorium, green room, student, graduate and VIP lounges. On the meeting room side, Darwish will be equipping a faculty conference room for 50 people, a 20 person conference room, as well as medium and small conference rooms and a board room. Completing the project are a group study lounge, receptions, pre-function space and café, a smart class room and a mosque.
