Dataton shows Watchout at Palme Vietnam

VIETNAM: Swedish A/V company Dataton used the recent Palme Vietnam show to exhibit the latest version of its Watchout multi-display production and presentation system.

At the show, it used a multi-projector setup and widescreen to demonstrate how the system can combine images with standard computer and network technology to create presentations of practically any size.

‘Having supplied Watchout systems to run on literally hundreds of computers at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, we are experiencing our most successful year ever in Asia,’ explained Fredrik Svahnberg, marketing director at Dataton. ‘The fact that the Palme exhibition is taking place in Vietnam for the first time gives us the chance to put our product’s capabilities in front of an even wider audience, and we are looking forward to showing dealers, rental partners, and end users in this region how Watchout can bring a spectacular new dimension to their A/V projects.’

Following more than 10 years of continuous development, Watchout uses a timeline-based user interface to build each audiovisual show and then distributes the relevant media files to the display computers to run the show. The system preserves the full resolution of all projectors, flat panels, video cubes and LED screens in order to maintain the image quality regardless of the size of the display area. Displays can also be arranged at any angle, shape or form, while overlapping projected images are edge-blended automatically.
