ENTECH to hold lighting tech session
Published: WORSHIP
AUSTRALIA: As part of the new ENTECH Technicians’ lunch series, this year’s show will feature a two-hour session covering common issues experienced by lighting technicians. Sponsored by Show Technology and supported by ALIA, the session will bring together some of the local industries best practitioners to discuss two main topics, with a view to offering practical advice and guidance.
The first topic will be: ‘When things go wrong’, and will highlight the 65,534 most common production problems and some well-tested techniques for solving them. A group of experienced lighting technicians will look at three general topics before moving on to an interactive Q&A problem-solving session.
A further topic will be: ‘That light won’t come on’, and will educate attendees on how to work out if it’s the shutters, the patching, the dimmers, the control desk or the substation. ‘DMX strangeness’ will also be covered, and will identify DMX system problems.
ENTECH forms part of the Australian Entertainment Technology Week, working alongside ACETA and ALIA. ENTECH will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre 23-25th July 2013.
