ETC announces distributorship in India

INDIA: ETC (Electronic Theatre Controls, Inc) has chosen long-time US dealer Barbizon Lighting Company Inc as its official distributor in India. The move reportedly follows an increased demand for its lighting products in the growing Indian market.
With its newly established office in Bangalore, Barbizon Lighting is a sales, service and educational center for ETC products. The distributor is also working with dealers across India to inform customers on the benefits of ETC’s lighting technologies. It is described as bringing deep expertise in project management with professional-grade equipment to the market.
‘For more than 20 years, Barbizon and ETC have been working together to serve the lighting industry around the world,’ said ETC CEO Fred Foster. ‘It is a natural step to work with Barbizon to provide the same excellent level of service and technology to the lighting industries in India.’

Abhay Shah is the manager of Barbizon India and will head up the Bangalore office. Mr Shah holds a masters in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University, with a specialty in Supply Chain Research.
The Barbizon India office has already supplied ETC lighting equipment and systems to Electrocraft and Kasthuri TV and is handling the specifications and project management for a new educational facility and a convention center.
