First Baptist Church Atlanta opts for giant dnp Supernova screens

US: The First Baptist Church Atlanta in Georgia has been equipped with two dnp Supernova front panel projection screens. Installed by Workhorse Systems Integration (WSI) after a successful demonstration of the equipment, the screens were chosen to meet the demands of the 2,500-seat worship centre.

The church’s Sunday services are broadcast worldwide via 204 stations and seven satellite networks, so the client required an audio, visual and lighting system that it could rely on. Speaking about the church’s previous A/V system, Tenny Williams from the Music and Media Ministries said: ‘The white projection screens’ images were totally washed out by the ambient light.’

Following WSI’s dnp demonstration, Mr Williams described the difference in performance as being like ‘the difference between night and day.’ WSI subsequently installed two 4.9m by 2.8m dnp Supernova Infinity 08-85 front projection screens, each matched with a Christie Roadster S+16K compact three-chip projector.

We now have beautiful HD images, and the entire congregation is thrilled with the new screens,’ Mr Williams enthused. ‘Next year, we will be building another worship space at this location, and dnp Supernova will be our screen of choice,’ he concluded.
