First Lutheran Church of Galion turns to Hitachi

WORLD: First Lutheran Church of Galion has upgraded its video technology with the help of the Hitachi CP-WX8265 projector. The projector is being used to display hymns and sermon graphics.

The church has approximately 550 members, with 80-100 people attending regularly on Sundays. A former pastor installed a projector in 2003 to present hymns and sermon graphics. Over time, the quality deteriorated and the church began looking for an upgrade, calling in the assistance of IT professional and church member John Renock.

‘The projector is used in the sanctuary and projected onto the front wall,’ said Mr Renock. ‘It presents an announcement loop and full service liturgy and lessons.’

The new projector serves multiple purposes at the church. ‘We are able to provide the congregation with a source other than hymnals and bulletins to follow the service,’ explained Mr Renock.

The new Hitachi projector has received positive comments from multiple people in the congregation. ‘It is much easier to use with the remote than our previous projector,’ noted Mr Renok. ‘And jumping from a faded, 3,000 lumen image to 6,400 lumens make the images more intense and visible. It’s amazing!’
