THAILAND: Music Space Ltd recently installed a Nexo sound reinforcement system into the newly built Thailand Christian Center (TCC) for its regular services and musical performances. Fuzion Far East handled the system design for client, and the sale was completed through Music Space Ltd.
TCC’s curved design represents Noah’s Ark, and the centre’s upper floor can host 1,700 attendants while the lower tier can seat 600. For the main PA system, 10 Nexo Geo S1210s and two Geo S1230 scalable loudspeaker modules were chosen for main left and right hang, with four RS15 subwoofers placed under the stage. A Nexo Geo S12 TD controller was also installed, as were five Camco D Power 4 amplifiers, a Symetrix Solus 8 DSP and an Arc-2e adaptive remote control wall panel.
All monitors are by Quest, comprising six QM12MPs, six QM700s, two HPI-18LPs, three QA3004s, three QA4004s and four QSA200is. Overall, the project took three months to complete as the team had to wait for interior work to be completed.
‘This Nexo system has been used in many venues and it has proven its sound quality and reliability,’ said Siri Wongkamolchun, director and general manager, Fuzion Far East. ‘There are other churches that have the same system and they have been running it without any problems for years.’
‘The venue needed a system that could handle full band music and deliver crystal clear speech,’ he explained. ‘The Nexo Geo S12 answers these requirements perfectly. Reverberation in the room was quite worrying at beginning, but the client has improved the room with acoustic materials and through using our Symetrix digital sound processor. So we overcame that problem. The client had very high expectations for the system, and we delivered it. The client is very happy,’ he added.
