INDONESIA: Ken’s Audio recently hosted Master Audio’s first Sound Systems for Churches seminar in Indonesia at Chic's Music Concert Hall, Jakarta.
Representing Ken’s Audio was Iken Thio, whilst Alfonso Martín, product application engineer, export department, attended from Master Audio. Also in attendance was David Klein, director of Sekolah Audio.
Due to poor weather conditions, the turnout was less than expected, but the team remained positive about the seminar. ‘It was raining extremely heavily in Jakarta and there was such bad traffic,’ explained Mr Thio. ‘We received confirmation of more than 100 guests, but we completely understand that the terrible weather stopped many of them getting here. Next time we will arrange it so that it doesn’t fall in the rainy season!’
‘We gave an overview on acoustics in churches and explained how to solve a number of problems using the latest technological advances in sound systems,’ added Mr Martín. ‘There is growing a demand for education on sound in Indonesia, and with regards to the specifics of church acoustics, it's better try to "teach" the customers in addition to giving advice so that they can get good sound.
‘It was a successful seminar, but due to the heavy rain several people could not attend, so we are considering repeating it again,’ he continued. ‘However, the attendees were quite satisfied and were very interested on the topics covered.’
Mr Martín confirmed that Master Audio will hold similar events in Indonesia in future. ‘The customer demand for training and information is not the same today as it was 10 years ago, nor is the technology. Master Audio has a goal to inform customers of the latest advances in technology for sound systems. We have already held seminars China and Indonesia, and plan to visit many other Asian countries. We are sure that this is the first of a continuous line of seminar and training plans for Asia.’
