Mega Sound workshop dates announced

MALAYSIA: The Mega Chinese Methodist Church in Petaling Jaya will play host to two three-day church technician workshops from Mega Sound in early May. The two workshops will be conducted by Mr Robert Soo and are separated into basic and advanced levels.
The training workshops, which have been organized by Mega Chinese Methodist Church, have been designed to give church technicians a better grasp of the fundamentals of a sound reinforcement system with the aim of making them more knowledgeable sound operators who can deliver better quality sound for their church services. The sessions will cover a wide area of topics, ranging from system setup to sound mixing and mic’ing techniques to troubleshooting. The Basic Module runs from the 2nd to 4th of May 2011, while the Advanced Module runs from the 5th to 7th of May 2011. A subsidized registration fee is offered.
Mr Soo is a trainer and consultant specializing in church sound who has worked with numerous churches for more than 20 years. He is a former chairman of the Audio Engineering Society in Singapore, and has also served as a pastor for seven years.
