Muple brings coverage to every seat at Ganseok Church

KOREA: Ganseok Church was facing a problem common to many Asian houses of worship. Its modern sanctuary was capable of holding large numbers of worshippers, but the high ceilings and raised balcony area made it acoustically challenging. To meet this challenge and ensure that every seat in the house was covered appropriately, the systems integrator tasked with the project, Muple, opted for a solution from Electro-Voice.
At the heart of the system are L-R hangs of four EVZ-208S line array cabinets. Low end is provided by EVA-115D subwoofers ground stacked in front of the stage and power for the system is via CP4000S amplifiers. Ensuring that congregants seated under the balcony can still hear the proceedings is achieved with EVU-2082 speakers. Finally, Muple selected ZXA1 and ZLX12 cabinets powered by Q Series amplifiers as a stage monitoring system. Following the installation, Muple fine-tuned the whole solution to ensure even coverage throughout the facility.
While improving the sound within the church was the key aim from the project, there was the added benefit that the solution matched the look of the facility. The design of the EV cabinets reportedly complements the interior stylings of the church, helping with the modern feel of the facility.
