New teleprompter spells innovation for HOWs

UK: UK-based teleprompting company Autoscript, part of the Vitec Group, has introduced the 15-inch Entry Level Prompter Plus (ELP15 Plus), aimed at schools, colleges, universities and small broadcasters but ideal for pastors and worship leaders of every kind.

The ELP15 Plus builds upon the success of Autoscript’s original ELP15. It uses 50 per cent less power, provides a 20-degree wider viewing angle and has a slimmer, more compact design in a rugged, all-metal case weighing 20 per cent less with either a folding hood for portability or a moulded hood for fixed positions. Weighing just five pounds, the ELP15 Plus is designed for entry level users.

The new 15-inch monitor is said to be more efficient – promoting longevity, performance, reliability and green energy savings – with 400 nits of brightness, composite, VGA and s-video inputs and the image reversal capabilities necessary for prompting. Powered from an external AC to DC 12-volt power supply, the ELP15 Plus can also be powered with 12-volts DC from a battery for portable applications.

‘We’re always looking for opportunities to improve existing designs or introduce new ones in order to provide our customer with stronger prompting solutions,’ said Greg Prentiss, director of sales at Autoscript. ‘Based on proven products, the new ELP15 offers key performance improvements in brightness, while reducing power consumption and weight in a streamlined case.’

Autoscript was established in the UK in 1984 and provides a complete range of PC-based teleprompters, hardware, PC cards and software.
