RCF gives power to the Pope

WORLD: RCF loudspeakers were used to provide reinforcement for Pope Francis’ recent address at Rome’s Olympic stadium. The speech was reportedly clearly received by over 50,000 attendees to the 37th National Convention of the ‘Renewal of the Spirit’.

In addition to providing speech reinforcement, Italian rock star Luciano Ligabue delivered a major concert at the venue the night before. The audio system used for both events was therefore primarily designed for the music concert and comprised four centrally hung line-arrays totalling 84 elements of RCF’s TTL55-A Touring and Theatre line array. The system provided a total power output of 800,000W

The manufacturer’s equipment is no stranger to events of this type however, having previously catered to a similar event in 2012. The company provided the audio system for the official visit of Pope Ratzinger to Cuba, an event witnessed by millions around the globe.
