RCF powers the Pope's visit to Cuba

CUBA: Worshippers flocking to Pope Francis during his historic recent trip to Cuba were able to clearly hear his message thanks to the deployment of various sound reinforcement systems from Italian manufacturer RCF.
Arriving on the Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning saw the Pope celebrating mass with a 40,000-strong crowd in Havana’s Revolution Square, which was divided up into separate zones. Reserved for VIPs, politicians and diplomats, the closest area to the stage was reinforced by left/right hangs of four-per-side TTL55-A three-way active line arrays, plus six TTS36-A subwoofers in a cardioid configuration. Further back, large arrays each comprising 14 TTL55-A cabinets each were deployed, each with four groundstacked subwoofers underneath.
In the afternoon, the Pope celebrated Vespers inside the Havana Cathedral, drawing a crowd of more than 2,000 people to the cathedral’s square. Audio reinforcement here was in the form of eight RCF HDL20-A active line array elements and two 806-AS subwoofers. This reportedly provided ‘good SLP and intelligibility’ for the entire crowd.
On the Monday, the Pope visited Cuba’s third largest city and celebrated Holy Mass in Holguín’s Revolution Square to a reported crowd of 15,000 people. The system here consisted of 24 TTL55-A and TTS36-A cabinets in a cardioid configuration.
