WORLD: Following the announcement that 2014 was its most successful year to date, Robe has unveiled plans to expand its headquarters and production operations in the Czech Republic in response to increased global demand for its products. The plans involve the acquisition of nearly 800 sq-m of space and four large buildings located directly opposite the current factory premises in Valašské Meziříčí.
Work has recently been completed on a brand new building at the main factory site, which has created an enlarged Technical Centre as well as a host of new meeting, board and conference rooms. Refurbishment work on of the four buildings at the newest site has also commenced, and Robe’s sister company, architectural and commercial LED lighting manufacturer Anolis is scheduled to move there in the spring.
During this very busy period, the company is also celebrating its 20-year anniversary. ‘It’s a remarkable achievement to reach 20 years and I am very proud of the company and the many creative, talented and dedicated individuals who have worked so hard to help get us to where we are today – among the market leaders in our specialist field of lighting,’ reflected CEO and general manager, Josef Valchar. ‘Of course to share our best ever year with that anniversary is just amazing, and it’s a tribute to the great teamwork that is making Robe really rock!’
