Shore Community Church gets portable with QSC

NEW ZEALAND: The Shore Community Church recently purchased a QSC KLA active line array system comprised of four KLA12 elements and two KW181 subwoofers.

Every Sunday the Shore Community Church congregates in the Albany Junior High School’s sports hall, meaning volunteers had to set up and pack down their own audio equipment before and after each service. In the past the church relied on an ageing, very large and heavy audio system.

The congregation contacted local installer Halogen Audio to find a portable system that met their high audio expectations. After trying various options, the church opted for the QSC KLA active line array system to cater for speech and the church band.

The KLA speakers are versatile in terms of mounting options, and were selected as they can easily be used as part of an installed system when the church moves into a permanent venue. The QSC system also impressed the congregation with the ease with which it could be set up and packed away each Sunday.

The Shore Community Church was so impressed with the KLA system that it decided to add a full QSC K Series monitor system to its order with Halogen Audio, consisting of four K12 active loudspeakers and a K8 dedicated to monitoring a drum kit.

‘The level of support we received from Halogen Audio, coupled with the high quality and suitability of the QSC equipment for our application, meant we were very comfortable placing an order for the equipment,’ commented Dave Simpson, leader of the Shore Community Church.
