Soundline customises E-V and Dynacord for Sri Maha Mariamman

MALAYSIA: Audio equipment from Electro-Voice and Dynacord has been installed at the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in Selangor, Malaysia. Local systems integrator Soundline AudioVisual Distribution Sdn Bhd was tasked with selecting a system capable of ‘immersing devotees in prayers, songs and mantra led by the priest’. The temple also plans to use the equipment during daily services, meaning the chosen solution needed to also be both flexible and reliable.
First founded in the 1920s, the temple was originally located in Ladang Midlands, but was relocated in 2008 to Section 7 in Shah Alam, Selangor with funds raised by the public and government. Following the move, the temple committee decided that a new sound system for the main hall prayer hall was necessary to facilitate daily services. A customisable solution comprising Dynacord’s CMS 1000-3 mixer, DSP 260 system manager, Corus 12.2 full-range cabinet and SL 2400 amplifiers was proposed by Soundline. Equipment from Electro-Voice included the CDP 850T wideband paging projector, PA 1250T amplifier, RE2N2 wireless microphone system and PL24s microphones.
Both the president and committee member of the temple have nothing but praise for the work carried out, commenting: ‘Soundline did an excellent job with our A/V renovation. It went above and beyond to exceed our expectations and its staff members were extremely professional. We are happy with the result.’
