St George’s modernises with dLive

UK: St George’s Church in Leeds, UK, has selected an Allen & Heath dLive mixing system to support its wide variety of weekly activities. Comprising an S5000 control surface and DM48 MixRack, the audio solution was primarily chosen for its ‘flexibility and exemplary sound’.

Established almost 200 years ago, in 1838, St George’s is a Church of England parish church based in the centre of Leeds. It offers morning and evening Sunday services alongside a selection of weekly activities. The new dLive was purchased as a replacement to the church’s existing analogue mixing console, providing more flexibility to cater to its constantly changing band line-ups and recording needs.

The dLive reportedly posed few challenges for the congregation’s PA team. ‘The church sound guys found their feet really quickly with the dLive, despite coming from an analogue setup,’ reported Ben Hammond, live sound and touring ambassador for Allen & Heath’s UK distributor, Audio-Technica. ‘They found it really easy to use and are extremely happy with the flexibility it offers and the power it delivers in such a small footprint.’
