Worship and convention centre boosts screen size

INDONESIA: Having installed a 407-inch Supernova Infinity Screen from Danish manufacturer dnp a few years ago, the Sentul Convention Centre in Indonesia has upgraded to an even larger version. With an image area exceeding 100 sq-m, the new display is said to provide guests with an ‘even more sensational, true-to-life viewing experience’.
Indonesia’s Sentul International Convention Centre can accommodate up to 10,000 people at a time. Having first installed the smaller Supernova Infinity, the organisers didn’t take long to realise that such a large venue needed an even bigger screen. The decision was duly made to upgrade to a 607-inch model in 16:9 ratio, installed by professional dealer and integrator IMS Mahajak Indonesia.
The Convention Centre opted for the dnp screen because many of its activities take place during daytime in high ambient light. The manufacturer claims that its screens ‘ensure a bright image regardless of the time of day, while also featuring wide viewing angles and an arresting contrast ratio’. In order to achieve the 60,000 lumens needed for the Supernova Infinity, a second Lightning series 30K projector from global manufacturer Digital Projection International was also added to the Sentul installation.
dnp Supernova Infinity is a modular screen system that can be assembled to create displays of almost unlimited size. Taking advantage of this feature, the Sentul Convention Centre’s new screen is now more proportionate to the building’s spacious interior. It’s used for everything from presentations to music videos and live performances, creating a powerful impact and giving everyone in the audience a ringside view.
