DWR hits the road for summer MA seminars

SOUTH AFRICA: DWR Distribution’s Gareth Charles will be leading MA Lighting training courses in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. Basic training will be conducted in each of the cities in June, while intermediate seminars take place during August.

The basic training workshops take place in Cape Town from 6 to 8 June, Johannesburg from 13 to 15 June and Durban from 20 to 22 June. Topics covered will include console layout and connections, show file management, grouping, control fixtures, presets and networking. The course runs at a cost of R2,550 in each city and includes training notes and lunch. Attendees are advised to bring laptops running the latest version of GrandMA 3D and a MA2 lighting console. Delegates interested in attending the intermediate training are also advised to bring a laptop with the latest version of GrandMA 3D and a MA2 Lighting Console. This course also costs R2,550 in each city, however due to limited space a 50 per cent deposit is required. Intermediate training takes place in Cape Town from 15 to 17 August, Johannesburg from 22 to 24 August and in Durban between 29 and 31 August. The workshop covers topics including advanced effects, layout and bitmap effects, advanced presets and temp faders, cue list management and tracking.
