Imagine’s Anas Hantash rises up the ranks

MENA: Imagine Communications has named Anas Hantash as its new director of sales for the MENA region. Mr Hantash is an industry veteran of 12 years with a technical, sales and business development background, as well as a strong understanding of software-defined broadcasting. Having joined Imagine in 2009 as senior solutions sales architect, his most recent role was as deputy director for the MENA region, serving below Paul Wallis, who Mr Hantash replaces in his new position.

During his time at Imagine, Mr Hantash is credited with multiple major broadcast projects. Prior to joining the company, he occupied roles at both the Arab Media Group (AMG) and National Broadcast Centre (NBC) Group in senior broadcast engineering and operations.

‘A well-respected figure in the local broadcast community, Anas has extensive experience across all aspects of the integrated broadcast workflow,’ commented Mathias Eckert, vice president for EMEA at Imagine Communications. ‘Anas is ideally placed to clearly articulate to our clients in the region the benefits of moving operations to software-defined architectures and virtualized environments, and to ease their transition towards a hybrid SDI-IP or an all-IP world.’

‘I look forward to the opportunity to help media companies in this creative and dynamic region begin to build their media facilities of the future,’ said Mr Hantash. ‘A top priority in the region will be to strengthen ties with customers and partners by sharing knowledge and expertise about next-generation technologies with focused seminars, proof of concepts, demos and other activities to more effectively inform our customers about the benefit of more streamlined and efficient broadcast workflows.’
